Introduction

STEQ (formerly NX Real Estate) needed a rebrand that could carry the weight of real estate while feeling contemporary. The result is a visual language rooted in the Dutch brick, used as both a literal material and a design primitive.

01Overview

Real estate calls for trust, but STEQ also wanted to show that it was looking ahead. We worked towards an identity that felt solid and contemporary. A recognisable S and a distinctive Q give the logo its character, while the lettering feels calm and assured.

02System

The Dutch brick gives STEQ something familiar to build on. In warm shades of orange, dark brown and cream, the bricks become houses and patterns that immediately bring building and living to mind. We tried adding logos to the bricks, but the material and shapes were more convincing on their own.

03Outcome

The old name, NX Real Estate, said little about the company behind it. STEQ gives it a recognisable story that belongs on a building site sign as much as in a conversation with investors. The brick keeps the brand close to the world it works in.
